At this moment we are a bunch of multi-tasking folks, but it was all started by a little boy from little town in the lap of big mountains of Himalayas.
Puri Bartanwala is a retail brand of Puri Hospitality Solutions (PHS) which was founded by Mr. Sachin Puri in January 2019.
Sachin Puri was born to a shopkeeper in Shimla City Of Himachal Pradesh in India and that is where at the very young age of 6 years old, he started helping his mother in the shop business as his father had passed away when he was just 3 years old.
While growing up and seeing the struggle and hard work of his mother, he started taking interest in the shop business and then filling up his school blazer with stationary in the morning and selling it all by end of the day to the school kids, and here the spark begins with following timelines: –
2002– Started a video games arcade and retail store of hip hop accessories along with music and video CD/DVDs
2005 – Moved to Singapore to pursue the Certificate III in Hospitality Management
2007 – Continued further course in Pastry & Baking Arts from one of the finest colleges on this planet “At-Sunrice Global Chef Academy Singapore” This Academy was running under the leadership of Chef Chirstophe Megel, who then was the CEO of this prestigious institute and Sachin Puri was trained under the master of pasty arts, Chef Frederic Deshayes
2005 to 2008 – During this period of time while he was studying hotel management in the beautiful city of Singapore, he was also attached as a trainee to a luxury hotel property “Mandarin Oriental Singapore” situated at the prime spot of Marina Bay Area.
2008 Sept – Moved to USA, first full-time job as a Pastry Cook in the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship at the city of Orlando. Amazing experience of working with 72 nationalities and sailing in the ocean of Caribbean Sea.
2010 – Moved to Italy in small village called Montecchio Maggiore to learn the fine arts of Italian Gelato (Ice Cream) and to be an international demonstrator of Pastry, Gelato And Chocolate Arts.
2010-2012 – Demonstration, Food Shows and Travel – Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Italy, France, China, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Philippines, Vietnam and Pakistan.
2012-2013– Worked as national sales manager to a kitchen contractor for their QSR projects which company was executing as turn key solution provider for the kitchen equipment and fabrication part of it.
2014-2015– Back to the Gelato business and back in Italy, to learn about the premium quality of gelato ingredients and expand the market and head the sales in Asia Pacific
2016-2018 – A new job assignment takes him to Singapore to start work in a new products category of Kitchen Utensils, which were for the luxury hotel projects in South Asia. And this time there were more new countries welcoming him for the exploration. After having travelled in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and various cities of India. It was when he decided to full stop his JOB career and decided to start a new venture of his own.
2019 –Puri Hospitality Solutions Was Born
